As wellbeing becomes high on the agenda for schools, Visual Group are delighted to announce the launch of the ‘Create a Happy Classroom’ eBook which provides 4 short poems from the wellbeing heroes to help promote a positive wellbeing culture within Primary Schools.

Visual Group commissioned award winning children’s author and poet, Christina Gabbitas to write this eBook and the launch coincides with National Poetry Day. Christina’s book Share Some Secrets was awarded a national book prize in 2019, and the publication is now encouraging children to speak out and being recognised globally. In addition to this Christina was also made an honorary member of the NSPCC.

Paul Kantecki, Managing Director said, “Christina was a find, her expertise was perfect for helping us to create this eBook in a way that would help primary schools promote positive behaviours in their schools to help with children’s wellbeing”.

Christina Gabbitas said, “I believe the power of storytelling can never be overlooked when helping to educate children. Promoting positive well-being for children is paramount in helping them to learn and develop a positive view of themselves. I hope the poetic stories that I have written will help children to understand the importance of kindness and to know that there is always someone that they can talk to, should they feel troubled.”

Ideal for teachers to read out in class, in this eBook you will see Turbo’s story teaching children to be a buddy not a bully, you will meet Brains whose story will encourage children to talk and share how they are feeling.

Atomic likes to move and her story will share how much being active can be fun, making you laugh and feeling good. Finally, Shield is kind and caring, putting a protective shield around everyone she meets.

The eBook is available FREE to download at https://visual-group.co.uk/wellbeing/ along with a host of other FREE resources such as colouring sheets, activity sheets and certificates, which the team at Visual Group have designed around the Wellbeing Heroes to compliment the eBook and help teachers use other tools in class to help to be more open about wellbeing.

Wellbeing is about how we are doing and how we feel about our lives. The Wellbeing Heroes are here to help children understand the negatives and positives of our actions and how they affect each other.
